Book Tutoring

At Rubix Learning, we have a team of highly accomplished tutors that can help with Legal Studies tutoring for students in their preliminary and HSC years of high school. Our tutors are able to help students of various academic levels and can pace the content to suit their needs. We can help find a Legal Studies tutor who is the right fit for you or your child.

Our online Legal Studies tutoring sessions are held over Google Meet or Zoom; whichever platform works best for the tutor and student. Conducting online tutoring sessions in a video call format, helps the student and tutor to build a relationship and interact through use of the digital whiteboard feature, and the ability to share both computer screens.

We stick to the school syllabus and cover concepts in the same order that they learn it at school, to keep their learning consistent. Our Legal Studies tutors can help you or your child excel in the following areas, or any others that you feel you may need guidance in:

  • Preliminary Core 1: the legal system
  • Preliminary Core 2: the individual and the law
  • Preliminary Core 3: law in practice
  • HSC Core 1: crime
  • HSC Core 2: human rights
  • HSC Core 3: various options
  • Critical essay writing skills
  • Exam skills

When tutoring commences, students will receive a resource folder which will include past Legal Studies essays, past exam papers and answers, exam guides and tips and study guide sheets. These resources will help students to practice their skills in the same formatting as what will be given in school exams.

Students will be given progress exams after completing each topic with their tutor to understand if there are any concepts which need to be revised. They will be given homework to complete, unless the student is struggling to keep up with their workload and we are informed by a parent that homework is not required.
