Company Profile

Rubix Learning is an Australian tutoring company that was founded by Chris Tembeleski, who has extensive experience in private tutoring, high school tutoring and university tutoring at the University of Sydney.

Our aim is to help kindergarten students right through to year 12 students, who require assistance with furthering their studies. The student may be struggling to grasp the content or they may already be achieving good grades, but wish to push themselves further and excel in their schooling. No matter what level the student is at, our tutors are prepared to help each student advance in their studies and achieve their goals.

We aim to pair students with a tutor that is best suited to their objectives and personality. When assigning a tutor to a student, we take into consideration the student’s current academic level, their goals and their personality type, before matching them with the most appropriate tutor.

Once paired with a tutor and tutoring sessions have commenced, we monitor the outcome of the sessions on a monthly basis, to ensure that both students and parents are happy with what is being achieved. We may discover that more resources are needed to aid the student or that the tutor needs to make a few changes to the lesson structure to maximise results. Whatever our findings may be, any changes required will be implemented into the following lesson plans.

We pride ourselves on offering a personalised learning experience that is tailored to the student’s individual learning style and needs. Our tutors will travel through the content at a pace that the student is comfortable with, so that they don’t feel overwhelmed and are engaged and able to absorb the content. The order the syllabus is completed in, tends to vary amongst schools. We ensure that our tutors adhere to the school syllabus and present content in the same order that it is given to the student at their school.

Every student will receive a supportive resource folder that consists of past exam papers, sample essay and exam responses, study guide sheets, subject-specific syllabus notes and exam tips. All resources are subject-specific and give students exposure to exam style questions and allow them to practice applying content in an exam setting.

Homework is given after each lesson, unless we are informed by the parent that the student is struggling to keep up with the homework set by their school. This allows students to gain greater exposure to different styles of exam questions, from a wide variety of resources.

When a topic is completed, students are tested on their progress with an exam. If we find that the student is still yet to grasp certain concepts, we will revisit those areas. Our aim is to complete a topic before the student finishes the subject at school, to allow for extra study time before an exam.

Our team consists of English Tutors, Maths Tutors, Physics Tutors, Science Tutors, Chemistry Tutors and more. No matter what the subject, our team can assist with any primary or high school subject. If you or your child requires private tutoring in Sydney, then feel free to get in touch with our friendly team who will be more than happy to assist you with organising face-to-face or online tutoring.

Sarah Bouchayaa

Sarah is a fourth-year Bachelor of Science and Advanced Studies student at The University of Sydney. Her favourite subjects at school were Chemistry and Advanced Mathematics, and these are now the subjects that she tutors. Sarah’s passion for Chemistry extends beyond the classroom and into the university laboratory, where she is now studying a Chemistry major.

“My favourite part of tutoring is witnessing a student’s ‘aha’ moment, where it all begins to fall into place. This often occurs right before they answer a formerly difficult question or when they realise they’ve developed a fondness for a previously disliked subject. It is moments such as these that make me feel honoured to be a part of a student’s academic journey.”
