At Rubix Learning, we offer History tutoring for high school students in years 7-10, and Modern History, Ancient History and Extension History for high school students in their preliminary and HSC years.
Our online History tutoring sessions are held over Google Meet or Zoom; whichever platform works best for both the tutor and student. The video call format helps the student and tutor to build a relationship, and also allows for interaction between teacher and student through the use of a digital whiteboard and the ability to share desktop screens.
We stick to the school syllabus and cover concepts in the same order that they learn it at school, to keep their learning consistent. Our History tutors can help you or your child excel in the following areas, or any others that you feel you may need guidance in:
- Essay writing skills and formatting.
- Concepts based on years 7-10 syllabus.
- Concepts in Modern, Ancient or Extension History syllabus.
- HSC preparation for Modern History, Ancient History, and Extension History.
All students will receive a resource folder once they begin their tutoring sessions, which will include past History exam papers based on their course, sample exam questions and answers, study guides and exam tips.
Students will undertake a progress exam once they have completed a topic with their tutor, to understand whether any topics should be revisited. Homework will be given by the tutors to help the student solidify their knowledge and skills, unless a student is struggling with their workload and we are advised by a parent that homework isn’t required.
