At Rubix Learning in Sydney, we offer tutoring for History for high school students in years 7-10. We also offer tutoring for Modern History, Ancient History, and Extension History for students in their preliminary and HSC years of study. Our History tutors are eager to help students of all academic capabilities, to help them reach their goals. We aim to help students fully understand their content, develop their essay writing skills, and gain confidence for assessments, school, and beyond!
We stick to the school syllabus and cover concepts in the same order that they learn it at school, to keep their learning consistent. Our accomplished History tutors can help you or your child excel in the following areas, or any others that you feel you made need guidance in:
- Essay writing skills and formatting.
- Concepts based on years 7-10 syllabus.
- Concepts based on Modern, Ancient or Extension History syllabus.
- HSC preparation for Modern History, Ancient History, and Extension History.
If the student is struggling to keep up or they are progressing quickly, we can tailor the sessions to either speed up or slow down, to suit the student and their abilities at Rubix Learning in Sydney. Our History tutors aim to get students through the content and skills before the school, to ensure the student has some extra time to practice and revise before their exams and assessments.
Once tutoring sessions begin, the student will receive a folder of resources to help them with their studies. They will receive specific past exam papers, study guides and tips, and sample essay and exam questions. Focusing on past exam papers gives the student exposure to the types of questions and formatting they will receive at exam time.
Homework is given after tutoring sessions to give the student exposure to a wide range of questions that may be asked of them. Homework does not need to be set if the student is struggling with their school workload.
